CAN-KEY CanBus auxiliary light relay cabling

CAN-KEY is the fast, safe and inductive (contactless) way to connect auxiliary lights on newer cars with dynamic high beams, LED high beams and where its high beam functions are completely controlled via CAN and lack classic 12v / 24v power supply. This kit contains complete auxiliary light wiring with data reader, auxiliary light relay, 40A fuse and DT connector for connection to a LED bar.

The pin of the DT connector has a maximum load of 13 Ampere (156w at 12v). If the bar you are going to connect has a higher power, the DT connector must be cut off. The rest of the cabling can handle a maximum of 40 Amps

Super simple contactless connection without splicing in original cabling

CAN-KEY is clamped over two existing CAN cables in the engine compartment and reads these via induction, which means that there is no splicing or soldering in the original cable. The vehicle's data network is also not affected in any way. No CAN data is sent into the system, CAN-KEY only "listens" and is thus completely passively switched on. Since no damage is done to cabling, this means that you also do not risk problems with manufacturer guarantees and the like.

Connected in 15 minutes

Usually the assembly takes place entirely in the engine compartment at the headlight and therefore the assembly time is extremely short. The connection is usually completed in about 15 minutes.

Switch off the auxiliary light without a switch in the passenger compartment

The device's software has a built-in function to deactivate the auxiliary light, completely without the need for a switch to be mounted in the vehicle's passenger compartment.

Do the following:
- Switch off the high beam (if activated)
- Wait at least five seconds
- Blink ten times with the high beam within five seconds
- Wait until the auxiliary light comes on after one second - The unit is now in programming mode
- To deactivate (or reactivate) the auxiliary light, flash briefly once with the high beam
- To exit programming mode again, wait a few seconds until the auxiliary light goes out. Then flash ten times with the high beam within five seconds
- The auxiliary light flashes once to confirm that the unit has exited the programming mode. Done!
