Diode-bulb with one high power diode. The socket is T10 (also called W5W). The bulb has a lens mounted on top, which focuses the light and gives a bright impression. The lamp is polarity dependent, which means that if it doesn't work when you first put it in the socket, try taking it out and flipping it 180 degrees, so the poles shifts contact. Equivalent to about 7-8W.
